QMIS also provides a facility to enter the test results of these instruments manually
as well enter the test results of non-electronic instruments in the system.
Working :
The SQC Instrument is presently connected to a printer by a cable.The printer end
will be disconnected and connected with a hardware called as IB Box. IB will process
the data sent by instrument to printer and based on the logic applicable to a particular
Instrument, it will retain textual data, reject the graphs and send the retained
report to PC as a text file. These PC’s are connected with LAN also.
Application Server will periodically interrogate that PC’s (typically every 10 minutes)
and read the latest reports stored therein and update database.
The user may access database created by Application Server and generate reports
based on queries in that and the reports may be optionally printed on a separate
dot matrix printer.
